Review by hotel critic
I recently enjoyed a serene stay at Ryoso Chatani, and it was one of those tranquil spots that really lets you unwind. The spa facilities were a highlight for me—especially the indoor public baths. After a day spent hiking nearby and soaking in the views of Sanzenin Temple, there’s nothing like slipping into the onsen in a comfortable yukata. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere. I found it easy to access local sights and even managed some lovely cycling along the nearby river. The shared baths were well-organized and clean, providing a peaceful retreat after busy days. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful details, like a luggage storage option and a desk in the room, which made it convenient for planning my adventures. The garden views from the terrace offered a calming backdrop, perfect for sipping tea post-bath. Ryoso Chatani is worth considering for those wanting a blend of relaxation and outdoor activities in a quiet setting.
